x100 Alumroot Seeds – heuchera micrantha

There are over 50 subspecies of Alumroot in North America, and even several distinct species right here on our mountain. This particular subspecies’s name has evaded me, even with hours of research. The closest I’ve found might be heuchera micrantha, though that variety is supposed to have purple colorations. This may simply be an established hybrid here.
The foliage is richly colored and veined, the leaves are fairly rounded for alumroot, and the flowers are preciously tiny. Each little (and I mean LITTLE!) white and pink flower matures into a beautiful perfect cup of shiny black seeds. All of these seeds come from the variety shown in the photos. While Alumroot is most popular as a decorative perennial, its root also has valuable medicinal properties as well, being rich in flavonoids that can address inflammatory and infection issues in the urinary and reproductive tracts.

Each seed lot has been portioned with 10-20% more seed than the advertised quantity, just to pad against potential miscount or infertility.

The photos on this listing are of the seeds you will receive and some of the plants that they came from. These are not stock photos.

We collect, clean, sort, count, and sell seed as a chance for others to propagate healthful, medicinal, and edible plants. We factor prices based on our time and resources, nothing more. We do not try to compete with wholesalers and re-sellers.

We STRONGLY encourage everyone to save seeds of their own! It’s practical, free, and addicting 🙂
