By placing any order with us, you agree to the following:

1. You, the buyer, agree to release Desert Rose and its agents from any and all liability associated with your purchase, import, use, consumption, possession, or distribution of our products.

2. If any of our products are used for topical or internal use or consumption, you are accepting full responsibility for your choice to use said product at your own discretion. We have no FDA or USDA certifications. By acquiring products from us, you understand and accept this. We make no guarantee or promise as to what effects any natural product may cause or create.

3. It is assumed that when you order an item, you can legally possess that item according to the laws of your state/province or country. If you order items you cannot legally possess, Desert Rose will hold you (the buyer) responsible for any penalties and/or legal fees incurred by the company as a result of your illegal purchase/import. Just because I’m allowed to export it doesn’t mean you’re allowed to import it. *This hasn’t happened yet, and we hope it never will 🙂

We accepts Paypal and Credit/Debit Card payments.  Sorry, no personal checks!  Certified checks and money orders accepted with prior arrangement.


Please note that most orders have a 1 – 3 business day processing time once payment is received. We strive to ship promptly but there are times it takes a day or two to get to the post office again.


  All domestic U.S. orders are shipped USPS.  USPS Ground Advantage (formerly First Class) tends to arrive within 2-4 business days, but can take up to 6 business days. Upgrade to USPS Priority Mail with Insurance is available upon request and costs more, the USPS guarantees Priority in 1-3 business days. Orders over 1lb must be shipped Priority. Both of these shipping options come with tracking.

Global shipment is available for many products.  Some items are available for global shipment from our partner Plukka Sjæl, at our Sister location in Norway.  Global shipment via Posten does not come with tracking, and usually arrives within 10 businessness days world-wide.


USPS First Class Mail shipments are not automaticlaly insured. If you would like to purchase additional insurance please alert me before ordering. USPS Priority Mail orders do include full insurance. If you need to file a damage claim on an insured package, you can do so online at www.usps.com/help/claims.htm


We hand-pack all orders, and once in a rare while we make mistakes. If you should ever have a problem with your order please don’t hesitate to contact us so we can fix the situation. We’re here to help!


Occasionally packages take a beating during transit. If your item shows up damaged, and you feel that it is due to poor packaging, please notify us so we can get things straightened out! Some damaged items can be returned and fully refunded (including return shipping) or sometimes exchanged. Damages caused by poor handling need to be brought to the carrier’s attention immediately by you, the recipient.


Items lost in transit, whose shipments included tracking information, cannot be refunded or replaced.  Untracked parcels may qualify for replacement or refund.  While extremely rare, this is an unfortunate circumstance where neither you or we are at fault. This is a risk buyers must take into account when placing an order online. Please remember that once a parcel is shipped out, it’s no longer in our control. Claims of lost packages within the USA should be reported to the USPS by the recipient ASAP.


If your order arrives accurate and undamaged, but you wish to return it, you may do so for a full refund, however we will not refund shipping. Please be sure to read all descriptions. If you have questions you are welcome to ask before you buy

International Orders

WILDLIFE REGULATIONS:  All wildlife exports (fur, bones, skulls, teeth, claws, etc), by law, must be sent to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for inspection before leaving the USA. Due to the high cost of permits and tedious legal processes, we are no longer offering international wildlife shipments.

EXCEPTIONS: Domesticated species do not have regulation or inspection requirements and can be exported worldwide, in most cases. These species include horse, cow, pig, goat, domestic rabbit, domestic feline and canine, and many others. Please note that some countries may restrict the import of domesticated specimens, always check your local laws before ordering! Just because I’m allowed to export it does not mean you’re allowed to import it!

Now for the legal stuff. 

Interacting with my shop and my blog does require some personal information, such as your shipping address or email address, depending on what you’re doing.  The background functions of the website collects and caches certain information you store.  This information is needed for the fluid function of the shopping cart, your order history, your account, etc.  

The Desert Rose will never knowingly share, distribute, or sell any of your personal data or information.

At this time we do not use any ad services or additional tracking services on this website, nor do we sell any cached or collected data.


What personal data we collect and why we collect it


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.


If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact form

Any personal information you submit on any contact forms will only be used for the sole purpose of contacting you relevant to your activities or transactions on our website.  Desert Rose will never knowingly share, distribute, or sell any personal information.


If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
